Bernard graduated from Michigan State University College of Law in 2008, concentrating her studies in family law and receiving a certificate in Child and Family Advocacy. Bernard's practice has always emphasized family law, including dissolutions, parenting and support issues, paternity, adoptions, and mediation. Bernard regularly accepts appointments as a guardian ad litem representing the best interests of children in family law cases. Sarah is also trained in collaborative family law.
Bernard served on the Board of Directors of the YWCA Helena for nine years, including three years as Board President. In 2016, Bernard was named one of Helena’s top 20 under 40.
Bernard is licensed to practice in the state of Montana.
